I began my career in real estate in 1993 when I joined my parents, Sandy and Jerry Laine, taking over all operations and administrative duties at RE/MAX Champions in Spring, Texas. I was fortunate to build a strong foundation from my parents that helped catapult my real estate career. In 1994, I earned my real estate license and joined RE/MAX Northwest to build my own business. In 1995, I was awarded RE/MAX of Texas Rookie of the Year, earning over $3 million in sales during my first year in the business. Throughout the years, I have continued working closely with my mother as an undesignated team. Today, 80% of our business comes from past clients and repeat referrals. I have earned both the RE/MAX Hall of Fame Award and the RE/MAX Lifetime Achievement Award. I have also been recognized as one of the Top 100 agents in the state of Texas and was a Platinum Award recipient in 2020, closing over $10 million in production. 2020 was a challenging year for everyone. My daughter, Shelby Waltz, who graduated from Texas A&M University, decided it was the perfect time to earn her real estate license and join the business. She now works with me as my Marketing Specialist and is a true expert in social media, print marketing, and emerging trends in the real estate market. Together, the three of us are truly a real estate dynasty.
